Using 2023 rates for CGT

When a UK resident disposes of a foreign asset in 2023, HMRC requires the gain to be calculated in sterling using the exchange rate at acquisition and disposal. HMRC monthly averages and Bank of England daily spot rates are both accepted. Compare both for your disposal →
