1. Not financial or tax advice

TealFX is a calculation tool designed to assist with the mechanical conversion of foreign currency amounts to sterling using exchange rates published by HMRC and the Bank of England. It is provided for informational and illustrative purposes only.

Nothing on TealFX constitutes financial, legal, or tax advice. The outputs of any calculation should not be relied upon as the basis for filing a tax return, making an investment decision, or any other financial or legal purpose without independent verification by a qualified professional.

TealFX does not hold any FCA authorisation or qualification to provide regulated financial advice.

2. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TealFX and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in exchange rate data displayed on the platform
• Any tax liability, penalty, surcharge, or interest arising from the use of calculations produced by TealFX
• Any financial loss, direct or indirect, resulting from reliance on figures produced by the tool
• Delays in rate data being published or imported from HMRC or the Bank of England
• Any failure, interruption, or unavailability of the service

Your use of TealFX is entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for verifying all figures with the relevant official sources before use in any tax filing or financial transaction.

3. Accuracy of rate data

Exchange rates displayed on TealFX are sourced from HMRC's official monthly average rate publications and the Bank of England's daily spot rate database. We import these rates in good faith but do not independently verify them and cannot guarantee that they are current, complete, or free from error.

Always verify rates directly with the official sources before use in a tax filing:

4. Use of the service

You may use TealFX for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to circumvent any access controls, scrape data in bulk, or use the platform in any manner that could damage or impair its availability to others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service at any time, without notice, at our sole discretion.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown inclusive of any applicable VAT. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of TealFX after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
