Rates are units per £1, so sterling = amount ÷ rate. Rates and money are decimal strings. If you show a rate, link to its tealfx_url.

A rate for a date

Both sources. On a weekend or bank holiday the BoE rate uses the nearest earlier fixing and says so; add fallback=none for an error instead.

Every figure of a disposal

Each item at the rate for its own date, one source throughout, rounded to the penny. Kinds: acquisition, acquisition_cost, disposal, disposal_cost, foreign_tax (credited, never deducted from the gain).
